Teaching Assistant job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our already established team of Teaching Assistants. This role will involve supporting students within the classroom setting. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and committed person to join our dedicated team. Part time hours will also be considered for this role.

Purpose of Role

To work under the direct supervision of the SENDCo and curriculum directors to provide support for teaching and learning and associated activities in accordance with school policies and procedures and the SEN Code of Practice. This will include providing support to students within their classroom lessons and occasionally to facilitate small groups outside of the classroom. There may also be occasions when you are required to support in other curriculum areas.

Long Field Spencer Academy is a small, vibrant and friendly community secondary school, located in the market town of Melton Mowbray, just 17 miles from both Nottingham and Leicester. Ours is a modern and forward-thinking school which embraces new opportunities within teaching and learning as well as offering a wealth of excellent extracurricular opportunities, some of which are unique to our school.
