What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistants to join our team, with a particular focus on supporting pupils with complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including 1:1 support.
We currently have two permanent positions available and one fixed-term position until Easter to cover maternity leave.
The successful candidates will work closely with teachers, our SEND team and other colleagues to provide high-quality support for pupils with a range of complex additional needs.
The role may include providing dedicated 1:1 support, helping pupils to access learning, supporting communication and interaction, promoting independence, and helping children to regulate and engage successfully throughout the school day.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience of working with children with complex SEND. However, we also welcome applications from people with different backgrounds and experience who have the right qualities, enthusiasm and commitment to supporting our children.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications
- Has experience of, or a strong interest in, supporting children with complex SEND and additional needs
- Is confident providing 1:1 support where required
- Has high expectations of themselves and the children they support
- Is patient, caring, resilient and able to build positive relationships with children
- Is organised, enthusiastic and adaptable
- Has an understanding of the primary curriculum
- Works effectively as part of a supportive team
- Promotes positive attitudes towards learning
- Can help children develop their independence, confidence and engagement
- Is able to maintain a positive and cheerful outlook and respond calmly to children's individual needs

- A creative curriculum which values a broad range of learning experiences
