• Working pattern: Full time: 32.5 hours per week - term-time only. These hours will be Monday – Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm.
• Contract type: Fixed term - Maternity cover - Maternity or parental leave cover
• Full-time equivalent salary: £25,185 - £25,989 - pro rata (£18,540 - £19,837 actual salary)
• Pay scale: B1 point 4 - 6 (depending on experience)

What skills and experience we're looking for

This is open to qualified or non-qualified Teaching Assistant ideally with experience of working with SEND children. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who will:

• Support the needs of individual children within the classroom
• Have high expectations within the classroom setting through commitment to raising the standard of learning for all pupils
• Demonstrate a positive attitude towards all aspects of their work
• Have a good knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Work well as part of a team

The right candidate will have:

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• An ability to work on their own initiative.
• A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.
• The ability to use relevant technology/equipment.
• A can-do, enthusiastic attitude.
• A commitment to the happiness, well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school.

Thank you for your interest in working at Pudsey Bolton Royd Primary School. We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, who enjoys supporting children in a mainstream setting. The post will be in Lower Key Stage 2 and will involve some 1:1 support as well as general class support.
