We are seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. 

Reedham Primary and Nursery School is a small village primary school with an on-site nursery, situated in the beautiful South Norfolk countryside on the banks of the River Yare. Our school has fewer than 90 pupils, each unique and important. At Reedham Primary and Nursery, we grow hearts and minds so that, when children leave us, they do so with the skills, confidence, and strong sense of right and wrong to navigate life's challenges—ready to shape their future and make their mark on the world.

Requirements: We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who:- 

  • Can follow plans and work on own initiative
  • Has strong relationship building skills and techniques 
  • Is passionate about helping children reach their potential despite challenges  
  • Can communicate clearly with children and adults, verbally and in writing 
  • Has experience of working with all ages of children in school 
  • Is able to support a range of abilities including pupils with SEND 
  • Can work both with a small group and on a 1:1 basis with pupils 
  • Able to adhere to policies and procedures and follow GDPR guidelines 
  • Able to maintain confidentiality 
  • Is confident in supporting good behaviour management skills  
  • Has a desire to participate in school and Trust CPD opportunities 
  • Has a full understanding of Safeguarding

This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list. If you have information to declare it may be protected under the Exceptions Orders and you may not be required to declare it. You will be asked to make a criminal conviction declaration if you are shortlisted for the post.
