Teaching Assistant job summary

Millbrook Primary School is looking to appoint a highly motivated and talented Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will work alongside our staff to support and extend the children’s learning throughout their Primary years. The role requires someone who is passionate about children’s learning and who has a rich knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn within school. This role is to work 5 days per week from 8.45am to 3.15pm with a 30 minute lunch unpaid break, the salary per hour is £12.42-£12.85 depending on experience. The role is on a fixed term basis subject to funding but initially until 31st July 2025.

is passionate about children’s learning

has a rich knowledge and understanding of the education framework and how pupils learn

is eager to expand their knowledge, skills and understanding of teaching practices

has experience of working within a school environment

has experience of setting up and managing groups of pupils during focused learning activities

has experience in supporting teaching and learning for groups of pupils
