Working pattern

Part time: The working hours for this role are expected to be 09:00 - 15:00 Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year. The start date for this role is 01 June 2026. There is an option for a 30-minute lunch break plus a 30-minute MDSA role. Or, a 50-minute unpaid lunch break. This will be discussed at the interview.

Fixed term - Named Pupil, concluding when pupil leaves

Full-time equivalent salary

£25,185 - £25,989 per annum pro rata - this is dependent on experience and will be discussed at interview

What skills and experience we're looking for

North Bradley CE Primary School is seeking to appoint a committed and passionate Teaching Assistant (Named Pupil). As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.

In this role, you are responsible for providing dedicated support to a named pupil in the classroom. The role involves working closely with the class teacher and Inclusion Lead to deliver tailored support in line with the pupil’s individual provision plan, helping them to access learning and make progress across the curriculum. You will adapt and explain lesson activities, reinforce learning, and support the pupil in maintaining focus, developing independence, and managing behaviour positively. Building a strong, supportive relationship with the pupil is central to the role, promoting inclusion, confidence and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day. Responsibilities may also include supporting personal care, medical and physical needs, or therapy programmes as directed by professionals. The successful candidate will monitor and provide feedback on progress, contribute to a safe and nurturing learning environment, and support the pupil both in class and during unstructured times.
