Teaching Assistant job summary
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is passionate about nurturing pupils, to join our hardworking, supportive and friendly team.
For this post, the successful candidate(s) will be required to work full-time between 8.30am to 3:30pm - Monday to Friday.
This role requires working within a mainstream classroom setting, as well as with pupils who require 1:1 or small group support. It will involve working with a variety of pupils with varying needs, across the school. The ability to adapt to the ever changing needs of the school is essential. A 1 hour daily lunch duty (MSA), which is paid at HB payscale, is also a requirement.
In addition we also require the successful applicant(s) to work from 3:30pm - 5:30pm at our After School Club, Monday to Thursday. This is currently paid at the hourly rate of £12.71 per hour.
Experience of working in mainstream, Primary Classrooms is essential. The experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs, as well as knowledge of strategies supporting SEMH and behaviour, is desirable. All applicants should have a Maths and English GCSE Grade C (or above) or the equivalent.
