Teaching assistant job summary
The vacancy will be classroom based role, supporting the learning of children within the class as directed by the class teacher. Candidates will need to show initiative and be able to work as part of a team to provide a caring and stimulating learning environment for the children. Interventions are undertaken in afternoons and will include a mixture of ages and ability groups. It is important that candidates are prepared to work across the primary age as staff do not remain in one particular year group continuously. EYFS experience would be desirable. You will need to be qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), SEND experience is also a desirable quality, have good interpersonal skills, ICT skills and enjoy working with children. You will be required to support lunchtime duties.
