What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Previous experience of working with children in an educational setting

  • Experience of using Information Technology to support students in the classroom environment or other similar setting

  • Experience of supporting SEN students in a mainstream classroom environment or other similar setting

  • Knowledge of SEND and experience of working with those students

  • Experience of working with children with SEMH

  • Successful experience of working within a secondary school / education setting

  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies

  • Good interpersonal skills with both adults and children

  • Ability to follow instructions and respond to management directions

  • Knowledge of strategies to recognise and reward effort and achievements along withthe ability to encourage students to become self-reliant and independent learners.

  • A good working knowledge of ICT
