Working Pattern: Monday-Friday

Total Hours per Week: 37 hours per week

Working Weeks: 39 (Term Time only, plus 5 INSET days)

Pay Range: NJC Range 2 Point 6-11 (£25,989 - £28,142 FTE) - £22,040 - £23,866 (Actual) depending on experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Borlase for a Learning Support Assistant to join the SEND and pastoral team to support the learning progress and wellbeing of our pupils.

Reporting to the Director of SEND and Inclusion, the Learning Support Assistant (EHCPs and SEND Support) will specifically support provision for pupils with an EHCP. They will work with the pupil, their family and partner agencies to identify and remove barriers to learning and develop resilience in order to secure the best possible outcomes. They may also be required to support other students without EHCPs when required.

The position is ideally suited to a candidate keen to make a difference to the outcomes for young people; it would suit someone interested in teaching or training to teach in the future or with a background in working with young people or developing people in any context.
