Teaching Assistant job summary

About the Role

You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, providing both in-class support and working with small groups or individual children. The role may involve supporting pupils across the school, with a particular focus ideally in Upper Key Stage 2.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:
  • Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a school setting
  • Ideally has experience supporting pupils in Upper Key Stage 2
  • Holds a relevant qualification equivalent to at least Level 2
  • Is positive, adaptable and able to build strong relationships with children and staff
  • Demonstrates initiative and a commitment to supporting pupil progress and wellbeing
  • Has good communication and teamwork skills
  • Is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school, including wraparound provision if required
