Teaching Assistant job summary
About the Role
You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, providing both in-class support and working with small groups or individual children. The role may involve supporting pupils across the school, with a particular focus ideally in Upper Key Stage 2.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:- Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a school setting
- Ideally has experience supporting pupils in Upper Key Stage 2
- Holds a relevant qualification equivalent to at least Level 2
- Is positive, adaptable and able to build strong relationships with children and staff
- Demonstrates initiative and a commitment to supporting pupil progress and wellbeing
- Has good communication and teamwork skills
- Is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school, including wraparound provision if required
- A welcoming and supportive staff team
- Enthusiastic and happy and pupils
- A strong sense of community
- Opportunities for professional development
