What skills and experience we're looking for
Qualifications: Essential: Basic Numeracy and Literacy skills
Qualifications: Desirable: GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent), Appropriate NVQ, First Aid Certificate, Childcare Qualification
Experience: Essential: Working with people. Willingness to undertake various training to effectively support pupils with SEN.
Experience: Desirable: Working within a school or special school, Experience of developing and delivering individual education programmes for children with specific needs
Personal and Professional skills: Essential:
Must be well organised,
Effective communication skills,
Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude,
Ability to work as part of a team,
Flexible and willing to contribute to the success of the team,
Ability to develop good relations with staff and pupils and the wider school community.
Willingness to carry out personal care routines,
With training, be prepared to implement behavioural strategies
Awareness of principles of safeguarding and willingness to undertake further training.
Personal and Professional skills: Desirable
Ability
to organise and prioritise workload and work on own initiative
Training in personal care
Experience working with behaviour management plan

Paddock School is a growing, outstanding and innovative split site school in Roehampton and Putney for pupils with moderate to severe learning difficulties with autism or severe of complex learning difficulties. We currently have over 200 pupils on roll with approximately 180 staff.
