We have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant working flexibly across our school and as adult mediated support for children with EHCPs

Situated in the heart of the City of Cambridge, Park Street Church of England Primary School, with only four, mixed-age classes, is a very individual learning community. We have a ‘family feel’ where everybody knows each other well, enabling us to design learning opportunities to inspire all learners and meet their individual needs. We have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant to provide a variety of support in our classes, starting in September.
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our team, working flexibly supporting children with EHCPs/other SEND, within small groups and as part of their class, and also working collaboratively in the classroom. You will work with our experienced Assistant Headteacher/SENCo to facilitate the active participation of all children in the academic and social activities of the school and contribute to raising standards of achievement.
This is a level two position, but we would consider candidates committed to developing into the role.
Hours of work are 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, term-time plus professional days.
We are seeking to make a full-time appointment; however, there is the possibility of this working as ‘job share’, should candidates seeking part-time work apply.
The successful candidates will:
- Be enthusiastic, dedicated and well-organised professionals, with a desire to make a difference to children’s learning
- Able to work flexibly, taking initiative in supporting children of all abilities
- Have a commitment to their own professional development
- Be qualified to level 2, or willing to work towards this
- Be qualified to at least GCSE level or equivalent in English and maths
- Have high expectations for pupils’ behaviour and attitude to learning
- Be able to work well as part of a strong team and contribute to the school community
- Be supportive of the ethos and values of a Church School
