Polam Hall School wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced individual to the following post:

Primary School Teaching Assistant

The post requires the Teaching Assistant to work under the direction of the Head of the Primary phase and and in line with the needs of the classroom teachers to:-

support the delivery of learning for each pupil to enable them to reach their potential, working with individual pupils or small groups or within a whole class setting to support the delivery of high standards of teaching and learning and pupil progress.

actively uphold the values and ethos of the school in all interactions with pupils, and to model the behaviours expected of pupils.

respond to the specific learning needs of the pupil(s).

be proactive in managing pupil behaviour and supervise pupils at lunch and break times as required.

A level 3 Teaching Assistant (or teaching and learning) qualification is essential.

Qualifications in Maths and English are required and classroom experience in supporting Maths and English is highly desirable.

This is a permanent post.
