Hours: 32 hours & 30 minutes per week (8.30am - 3.30pm), term time only (38 weeks per year) Monday - Friday

Start Date: ASAP, this contract will currently be fixed until 19th July 2026, will be reviewed

Raglan Primary School (part of Connect Schools Academy Trust) is a two-form entry school with a Specialist Speech and Language Provision situated in the heart of Bromley.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable individual to join our well-established team of support staff to join our speech and language provision.

The role will require

Understanding of SEN and inclusive practice

  • knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with different learning needs, in particular speech and language difficulties, as well as autism and ADHD

Communication and Collaboration

  • ability to communicate and interact effectively with pupils using visual aids, communication tools and structured routines to enhance learning
  • ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, parents and other support staff within the ARP and the mainstream classrooms to ensure consistent support and holistic development

Empathy and Patience

  • Particularly when supporting pupils with additional needs or challenging behaviour

Adaptability and Flexibility

Able to adjust support methods to suit a variety of individual learning styles

Behaviour Management

  • Ability to apply positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques to promote inclusion and emotional well-being

Interventions

  • Deliver interventions to pupils, monitoring their progress and ensuring feedback to the class teacher, SENCO and parents

Previous experience in an ARP setting will be advantageous
