On behalf of the children, staff, and governors, I welcome you to Reculver Church of England Primary School.

We hope that our website will give you a good flavour of life at Reculver. Our children are rightly proud of their school and achievements and we are always aiming ever higher to ensure the best for every child. This year, our national test results put us in the top 20% of all schools nationally for our childrens’ progress during their time at Primary School, which we are very proud of. We aim to nurture children’s talents and abilities, providing opportunities for each child to reach their full potential and be happy, confident, resilient and enthusiastic learners. We are a welcoming, inclusive school and we understand the importance of working in partnership with parents: we encourage parental involvement in children’s learning, as well as fostering opportunities for the children themselves to be actively involved in their own learning.

Our vision is to develop an excellent school for the local community where the Christian values of love, hope, compassion, perseverance and forgiveness are evident in everything that we do, alongside our school Bible verse: We show love and compassion for others by truly helping them, and not merely talking about it.”

1 John 3:18

Through nurturing our children, both academically and spiritually, we aim to provide them with secure foundations for life, so that they leave Reculver with an excellent all round education and a love of learning.

We are constantly praised for the welcome that visitors receive at our school and the excellent behaviour of our children. We ensure that every child is treated as an individual, their gifts and talents are recognised and their achievements celebrated.

As Headteacher, I feel privileged to be leading this school and to be working with such a motivated and talented group of staff and governors. We have recently finished an exciting new building programme, providing fabulous facilities-brand new Early Years classrooms and a Special Educational Needs Hub to benefit all children who have additional learning needs.
