What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for two kind, caring and dedicated individuals to work specifically with a child with significant medical needs in our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The roles will focus on supporting the child’s learning, wellbeing and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working under the direction of the class teacher to support the child’s learning
and development
- Providing personal care and supporting medical needs in line with school policies
and individual health plans
- Helping the child access lessons, activities and social time safely and confidently
- Supporting positive behaviour and inclusion so the child can participate fully in
school life
- Build good professional relationships with children and colleagues
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Maintain a warm, positive outlook
About you – the ideal candidate:
You will be someone who:
- Is warm, patient and committed to putting children first
- Is sympathetic to our Christian vision and values
- Communicates clearly and respectfully with children, staff and parents
- Can follow detailed health care plans and remain calm in medical or personal
care situations
- Works well as part of a team and shows initiative when supporting planned
activities
- Has basic literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE level or equivalent) and a
willingness to learn and develop professionally
This role requires sensitivity, discretion and the ability to follow guidance and established procedures (including safeguarding and behaviour expectations).
