What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for two kind, caring and dedicated individuals to work specifically with a child with significant medical needs in our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The roles will focus on supporting the child’s learning, wellbeing and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working under the direction of the class teacher to support the child’s learning

and development

  • Providing personal care and supporting medical needs in line with school policies

and individual health plans

  • Helping the child access lessons, activities and social time safely and confidently
  • Supporting positive behaviour and inclusion so the child can participate fully in

school life

  • Build good professional relationships with children and colleagues
  • Work effectively as part of a team
  • Maintain a warm, positive outlook

About you – the ideal candidate:

You will be someone who:

  • Is warm, patient and committed to putting children first
  • Is sympathetic to our Christian vision and values
  • Communicates clearly and respectfully with children, staff and parents
  • Can follow detailed health care plans and remain calm in medical or personal

care situations

  • Works well as part of a team and shows initiative when supporting planned

activities

  • Has basic literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE level or equivalent) and a

willingness to learn and develop professionally

This role requires sensitivity, discretion and the ability to follow guidance and established procedures (including safeguarding and behaviour expectations).
