Saffron Green is on an exciting journey following our recent Ofsted visit, where we were awarded a 'Good' in all areas.

We are looking to recruit a passionate and flexible class support with a focus on nurture and inclusion. The role will require the applicant to be flexible in their approach and have excellent communication skills. You will work closely with the class teachers to support pupils.

The successful applicant must be able to work with small groups directly and support the class teacher with any classroom duties that may be required. You will be required to have patience and an understanding of our vulnerable children and have a caring and therapeutic approach. You will need to hold a level 3 qualification in childcare.

In return we can offer a competitive salary, opportunities for professional development and a supportive and friendly working environment.

The working pattern for this role will be 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:45 to 15:15, term-time only.

We are committed to safeguarding, equality of opportunity and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, medical check and references. We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.

Our school is located in Borehamwood with amazing transport links to inner London. The school sits just off the A1 motorway making it very easy to access from all parts of Hertfordshire.

We encourage visits from interested candidates. For more information about the role or to arrange a visit, please email Bhavini Patel - sbm@saffrongreen.herts.sch.uk.

Prospective candidates are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible as the school reserves the right to close the advert should we feel able to appoint an appropriate candidate.
