Salary UL PayScale Band 2 Vocational Points 3 - 6 (£25,918 - £28,090 FTE)
Contract: Full time 37.5 hours, Permanent , Term time + contract
Role Purpose
Salford City Academy is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Teaching Assistant to support students in achieving their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and the SEND team to provide high-quality support for learning, helping to remove barriers to education and ensuring all students can access the curriculum and thrive within our inclusive school community.

Key Responsibilities
Support students in lessons, individually and in small groups, to enhance learning and engagement.
Assist teachers with the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities
Provide targeted support for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring individual needs are met
Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and independence in line with the school's behaviour policy
Help monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Support students' social, emotional, and personal development
Contribute to the creation of a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Assist with educational visits, enrichment activities, and other school events as required
Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
Person Specification
We are looking for an individual who:
Has experience of working with young people, preferably in a secondary school setting.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Can build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
Is patient, adaptable, and committed to supporting all learners.
Has strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Shares our commitment to raising aspirations and improving outcomes for every student.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
