Teaching Assistant job summary

Are you passionate about making a difference to children's lives? Do you want to be part of a supportive, inclusive school where every child is valued and every member of staff matters?

Manor Fields Primary School is a thriving, oversubscribed school with an excellent reputation in the local community. We are a welcoming single-form entry primary school with a Specialist Resource Base, committed to providing high-quality education and care for all our pupils.

We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant & Midday Meals Supervisor to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will primarily work within our Specialist Resource Base, supporting children with a range of needs, while also having opportunities to work alongside colleagues and pupils within the mainstream school.

This varied role combines classroom support with Midday Meals Supervisor duties, enabling you to play a key role in children's learning, wellbeing and development throughout the school day. From supporting pupils in lessons and developing independence to encouraging positive social interactions during lunchtime, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and wishes to develop specialist skills while gaining experience across both specialist and mainstream primary provision. Whether you already have SEND experience or are keen to learn, we can offer a supportive environment with high-quality training and professional development opportunities.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Has a passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.
  • Is nurturing, patient and able to build positive relationships with children and families.
  • Works well as part of a team and is willing to learn from others.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is flexible, resilient and committed to inclusive practice.
  • Has experience of working with children with additional needs, or a willingness to develop skills in this area.
We can offer:
  • Wonderful children who are enthusiastic, unique and rewarding to work with.
  • The opportunity to gain valuable experience in both specialist and mainstream education.
  • A highly supportive and welcoming staff team.
  • Ongoing professional development, training and opportunities for career progression.
  • The chance to work within our developing Specialist Resource Base and be part of shaping innovative practice.
  • A positive school culture where wellbeing, teamwork and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do.

If you are looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day, we would love to hear from you.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged.
