As part of The Wensum Trust, we believe that our shared duty is to help every child to develop into high achieving, confident, healthy, caring and resilient members of their family and community. We want our schools to be healthy environments where both children and staff can develop and where strong, positive relationships are key. Our school, therefore, practices a relational approach with children, our families and our communities. We are particularly interested in working with people who share Our Qualities; who will work effectively and flexibly as part of a team.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is able to contribute to a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the setting. The successful candidate will have the desired qualities, and will work in a relational way.

Arden Grove is an Ofsted ‘outstanding’ school and has developed an expertise recognised locally and nationally for supporting children with SEMH needs. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a small, forward thinking team and to help develop this new provision in a purpose built unit. This role offers a unique and privileged opportunity to be part of a small, forward thinking team recognised for their work in the field of trauma informed and neuro-affirming education, led by Anne Oakley.

The demands will be high, but working with such innovation where the provision will change and develop, offers an exciting prospect for the successful candidate.

The PLACE at Arden Grove is one of Norfolk’s Specialist Resource Bases; an additionally funded, short term provision for children aged 5-7 years, within the grounds of Arden Grove Infant and Nursery School. For more information about the PLACE please visit our website: The PLACE at Arden

We are looking for a positive person to join the team at the The PLACE, which will work in one of the two classes offering places to children between 5 and 7 years old. Each class has a dedicated teacher and two Teaching Assistants, who all work alongside our dedicated PLACE lead.

Please see our website for more information and key details about the role, experience and technical skills required.

Being a part of The Wensum Trust’s family of schools offers employees unique experiences to work alongside our strategic partners and to collaborate with a wider network of staff. We believe in investing in employees as individuals, by providing training opportunities that help to develop both existing and new skill sets, to encourage career progression at all levels.

We value our staff and are committed to supporting their wellbeing. We have an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) which all staff can access 24 hours a day. The EAP provides counselling services, legal information and guidance, musculoskeletal services and online resources such as nutrition diaries, healthy eating plans, personal coaching questionnaires and tools and fitness programmes.

We care about bringing together the most able people, to help us achieve our vision of providing a rounded education for children, quality support for their families and opportunities to enrich our communities.
