Teaching Assistant - SEN job summary

We are beginning our search to find a dedicated SEN teaching Assistant to join our ARB unit as a 1:1 teaching Assistant. We are looking for a proactive team player that can bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience of working with a high level of SEN.

In this role, you will support the teaching and learning for one of our wonderful pupils, building a positive relationship and bringing to the table a wide range of strategies that can be used to engage, enthuse and support. It is essential for you to have demonstrable awareness of the SEND code of practice.

Hours: 20.7 per week ( 5 hours and 10 minutes Monday-Thursday)

Working weeks: 38 weeks per year (Term time only)

Paid weeks: 43.699 per year (includes holiday entitlement)

Salary: £24,469.00 (Actual salary: £11,472.56)

Contract: Fixed term (Maternity cover) until 23/07/2026
