Teaching Assistant SEN Level 4 job summary
JOB TITLE: Teaching Assistant SEN Level 4
GRADE/SALARY:£24,702 to £26,873 FT (£21,150 to £23,009 pro rata)
HOURS: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 inset days)
Hours of Work:Monday-Thursday 8.30am-4.30pm and Friday 8.30am-4.00pm
Daventry Hill School is a specialist school which caters for the needs of over 200 pupils from the ages of 4 to 18. Our fantastic pupils have a wide range of needs including PMLD, SLD, MLD and complex learning difficulties; with additional needs such as ASD and SLCN. The school is part of Creating Tomorrow Trust which is a growing Trust supporting schools who believe that children can achieve irrespective of their learning needs.
The school has undertaken a significant transitional phase, recognised by Ofsted, and benefits from a committed Leadership Team with a very clear and strong vision for school improvement. The school recently achieved great success by winning the SEND School of the Year, Headteacher of the Year and overall School of the Year at the Northamptonshire Education Awards 2022.
We are looking to recruit skilled and motivated individuals to join our team.
Duties will include:
Supporting pupils in the learning environment
In the absence of a Class Teacher, teaching the class and associated Teaching Assistants Level 2’s (including being timetabled as Class Lead for a proportion of the week, where required).
Providing personal and welfare care
Classroom administrative support
In addition to the existing responsibilities of the TA3 role, TA4’s will be responsible for leading the class and associated TA2’s in the absence of a teacher. They will also be timetabled as Class Lead for a proportion of the working week.
