Teaching Assistant SEN job summary
Contract: Fixed term until 31st August 2025
38 weeks per year based around term times
Hours: 27.5hrs (Special Needs Assistant) per week 8.45 to 3.15pm
In addition to the hours above we need to support a child with Special Educational Needs in our Breakfast club and after-school club. Hours below:
Monday Tuesday and Friday morning, Breakfast Club, 8.00am to 8.45am
Monday, Tuesday and Friday, Afterschool Club, 3.15pm to 5.45pm
As we are recruiting for several TA(SEN) positions we may be able to split the Breakfast Club and Meadowclub duty to work either one or the other for the right candidate.
FTE salary: £24,027 - £24,404 per annum
Actual salary: £ 14,933 - £15,167 per annum
Holidays: equivalent 14 weeks per academic year

To support us to achieve our ongoing goals and the very best for our children, we are now seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our team to work 1:1 with a pupil with special educational needs.
We are looking for someone who
- will work 1:1 with a pupil with special educational needs, supporting the class teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment for the child and their specific need
- will promote the inclusion and acceptance for all pupils within the setting, to enable every child to achieve to their potential
- can encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs
- an support a pupil with Special Educational Needs to benefit from our out of school hours clubs
