About Kingfisher Primary Academy
Kingfisher Primary Academy is a thriving two-form entry school with a 52-place nursery, located in the heart of Doncaster. As part of the Astrea Academy Trust, we are proud to serve a wonderfully diverse community of children aged 3-11. We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and committed Teaching Assistant to join our Reception Classes, supporting small groups of children to access learning activities within the setting. This is a permanent role, working 30 hours per week, starting in November 2025.
What You’ll Be Doing- Providing tailored support to pupils with complex needs, helping them access learning and thrive in a nurturing environment.
- Providing tailored support to pupils in accessing learning within a nurturing environment.
- Supporting the delivery of a therapeutic, broad, and balanced curriculum that meets individual needs.
- Working closely with teachers and senior leaders to adapt learning experiences in line with statutory SEND requirements.
- Attending to pupils’ health, welfare, and personal care needs, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day.

Kingfisher is a fantastic academy that places great importance on the success of its pupils. Children are assessed regularly and effective support ensures children make progress. An innovative curriculum has been designed to ensure that children take part in exciting lessons and that they play an active part in their own learning. A number of extra curricular clubs ensure that children have access to a range of enriching activities.
As an academy we love working with parents and have an increasing army of volunteer helpers who support us during the school day. We value the opinions of children in school and they have their own council. The council has regular meetings and discuss a wide range of issues.
Kingfisher is a two form entry academy (420 places) with a 52 place nursery.
