Job Title: Teaching Assistant SEND
Contract Term: Monday – Wednesday 8.30am -3.30
Contract Type: Temporary Fixed Term 1 year
Salary: Grade D1 £13185

Aim and main purpose of the role:
The ideal candidate will:
have the ability to connect with disadvantaged or vulnerable children.
will be confident building strong positive relationships with pupils to help them progress both socially and academically.
will be confident, calm and assertive and be able to put consistent, clear boundaries in place.
will be able to work on their own initiative, as well as contributing to a team
will have the skill set to support a pupil with specific needs to access the curriculum
have the experience of working with children with a special education need.
The candidate must have the knowledge and skills within the core subjects (English and Maths) to ensure the child can achieve their full potential.
Knowledge of speech and language support strategies would be beneficial but not essential as support and training can be given.
The role may include undertaking intimate care for pupils and supporting pupils during lunch and break times.
Additional training is desirable but NOT essential as we can provide you with the appropriate training as part of your CPD.
There may also be an opportunity to work in our wrap around clubs and holiday clubs.
