Catcliffe Primary School – Teaching Assistant Vacancy (Temporary, 1 Year)
Position: Teaching Assistant (Split Role – General Classroom & EHCP Support)
Contract Type: Temporary – 1 Year
Working Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Term Time Only
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Catcliffe Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team on a temporary one-year contract. This is a 32.5-hour per week role during term time, working in a split capacity:
Half of the role will involve supporting pupils within a general classroom setting, working alongside the class teacher to support high-quality learning for all.
The other half will focus on providing targeted support to learners with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans), helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience of working with primary-aged children, including those with SEND
Is flexible, patient, and proactive in their approach
Can build strong relationships with children, staff, and families
Is committed to inclusive practice and high expectations for all learners
Works well as part of a supportive and friendly team
