TheGoverning Body of Hillborough Infant and Nursery School is seeking to appoint aTeaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. Hillborough Infantand Nursery School is Ofsted rated Good, with pupils who are keen tolearn.

Weare seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and talentedindividual to assist in promoting the learning and personal development of thepupil(s) to whom you are assigned, to enable him/her to make best use of theeducational opportunities available to them.

Werequire a committed and self-motivated individual with an enthusiasm forworking with young people with previous experience of working in an educationalenvironment, preferably in EYFS and Key Stage 1.

Thesuccessful candidate will:

  • Have experience of working in aschool environment (EYFS & Key Stage 1);
  • Some experience with working with children with ASD.
  • Some experience of planning, monitoring and assessment of pupils’ work.
  • Be able to communicate effectivelywith children, parents and other professionals.
  • Be able to support learning inEYFS/Key Stage 1;
  • Be able to work well as a member of ateam, be proactive and able to work on own initiative;
  • Be able to maintain and enhance theSchool’s high standards;
  • Contribute towards the School ethos,improvement activities and the wider School community;
  • Be able to positively promoteinclusion;
  • Have a positive attitude, be flexible,enthusiastic with good communication skills;
  • Be adaptable to a changing schoolenvironment;
  • Be prepared to attend trainingarranged outside of contracted hours.
