We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide support to pupils, helping them engage with the curriculum, develop their skills and build confidence in a positive, nurturing and inclusive environment.

We are looking for someone who is patient, caring and enthusiastic, with a genuine commitment to supporting children and helping them achieve their full potential.

Required to start as soon as possible!

16.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only

About the Role:

We are looking for someone:

• To provide support to pupils across the classroom, helping them to engage positively with their learning and develop their skills and confidence.

• To demonstrate a patient, caring and proactive approach when supporting pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs.

• To foster a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment that encourages pupils to participate, develop their independence and achieve their potential.

• To support the teacher with classroom activities, assisting pupils with tasks and adapting resources and approaches where appropriate to meet individual learning needs.

• To work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider school team to support pupils’ learning, progress and personal development.

• To encourage positive behaviour, social skills, confidence and independence, helping pupils to develop effective learning habits.

• To monitor and support pupils’ progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and contributing to observations and records where appropriate.

• To assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and learning activities.

• Previous experience working in a school or with children is desirable, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning and development, working alongside the class teacher to help them make progress and achieve their potential.
• Assist with classroom activities, learning tasks and interventions, providing additional support to pupils where required.
• Encourage pupils to develop their independence, confidence, social skills and positive attitudes towards learning.
• Support the teacher in managing positive behaviour and maintaining a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor pupils’ engagement and progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and raising any concerns or achievements as appropriate.
• Support pupils during break times, lunchtime, school trips and other activities as required.
• Help prepare, organise and maintain classroom resources and learning materials.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other members of staff to ensure pupils receive appropriate support and encouragement.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
