About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen at St Michael’s Academy for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team. You’ll be working with Lister Class (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2)on Fridays, from 8:45am to 3:30pm (term time only), unpaid lunch break from 12.15pm to 1.30 pm (we have a MDSA vacancy Friday's only 12.15pm to 1.00pm also advertise on MNT) helping to create a caring and supportive learning environment where every child can achieve their full potential. This is a Fixed Term contract until 22nd July 2026.

We are looking for someone who will:

Embrace, support, and help develop the Christian ethos of our school.

Lead, inspire, and motivate children in line with our vision: “Do to others as you would like them to do to you.” (Luke 6:13)

Be a team player who collaborates closely with colleagues across the DSAT academy.

Bring a positive, flexible attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning.

Provide a stable, nurturing classroom environment.

Hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, with strong communication skills.

Have previous school experience (helpful but not essential—training will be provided!)
