What skills and experience we're looking for
St Barnabas Trust have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant at St Tudy CofE Primary School.
The hours will be 12.15 - 3.15pm Monday to Friday.
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who will truly make a difference in children's lives. If you want a fulfilling job, with a variety of challenges, which you can meet head-on with a great sense of humour and a passion for working with children, then this is the job you have been looking for. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- have attained Maths and English at GCSE level at grade C or above
- have experience of working with groups of children across the Primary phase
- support children in developing academic and social skills
- be able to respond to the children's learning styles and adapt learning accordingly
- work as part of a team within the classroom and on their own initiative
- be able to communicate effectively with children, parents and other professionals
- support the teacher in carrying out assessments of children’s progress
- support the teacher in delivering the curriculum.
