At Stallingborough C of E Primary School, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and nurtured throughout their learning journey. As a small, inclusive primary school, the relationships we build and the care we offer sit at the heart of everything we do.
We are now looking for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our school family from September 2026 and help our children flourish both academically and emotionally.
This is an initially fixed‑term, full time post until August 2027, with the potential for extension depending on future staffing needs. We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants and apprentices who share our commitment to nurturing every child.
Our school is a place where kindness, respect, and community guide our daily practice. We follow an approach to behaviour rooted in positive regard, where relationships, understanding, and connection are central. We believe that children thrive when they feel seen, heard, and valued — and we are looking for someone who shares this belief.
As a Teaching Assistant at Stallingborough C of E Primary School, you will:
- Support Children with SEND — Work predominantly as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, providing tailored support to help children access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their potential.
- Champion Positive Regard — Uphold our relationship‑centred approach to behaviour, supporting children with empathy, consistency, and respect.
- Build Strong, Nurturing Relationships — Foster positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families so that every child feels cared for and understood.
- Create an Inclusive Learning Environment — Help ensure that all children, regardless of need or background, feel included and supported in their learning.
- Encourage Growth and Independence — Promote children’s emotional, social, and academic development through patient, personalised guidance.
- Support Wrap‑Around Care When Needed — Provide occasional cover in our wrap‑around provision during staff absence, helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children beyond the school day.
- Work Collaboratively — Be part of a dedicated, caring team committed to giving every child the best possible opportunities to succeed.
About You:
- You are warm, patient, and committed to nurturing children with a range of needs.
- You believe in a behaviour approach rooted in positive regard, where relationships and understanding come first.
- You have a passion for supporting children with SEND and helping them flourish.
- You are a strong communicator who enjoys building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- You are flexible, adaptable, and able to respond to the diverse needs of our pupils.
- You are committed to your own professional development and eager to learn.
- You may be an experienced TA or someone beginning your career through an apprenticeship route — we welcome both.
