We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who will support 1:1, small groups and classes in KS1 and KS2. You will be especially passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs/SEND in a mainstream setting but also about supporting all children’s learning. Experience of working with SEMH needs, an understanding of de-escalation strategies and/or an understanding of ASD/social communication difficulties would be advantageous.
We are a supportive teaching team with high standards and a child-centred approach to all that we do. Our staff are enabled to succeed in their roles through professional development, Teaching Assistant meetings, for example, and we have staff who often progress onto HLTA, teacher training or Early Help positions.
Hours of work – 08:15-15:15 Monday to Friday and 5 hours MSA duty.
