What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful candidate will:
- Have the resolve to make a real difference to the lives of students by equipping them for future success

- Be an excellent committed team player
- Be invested in enabling student progress, whilst also developing the students holistically
Essential
- GCSE English and maths at C/4 (or above) Grade (or equivalent).
- Relevant and recent experience of working with young people.
- Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students and providing equality of opportunity.
Desirable
- NVQ level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience together with a working knowledge of national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies.
- A thorough and practical understanding of issues related to improving students’ progress and ensuring equality of opportunity both in and out of the classroom.
- Experience of supporting young people with improving literacy and numeracy skills as well as development social skills.

We are a large secondary academy for students aged 11-16 years based in Hucknall and, together with our partner academies, offer post 16 study at the Hucknall Sixth Form Centre.
We support our young people, so they enjoy their time at the academy and play a key part in all that academy life has to offer.
