Teaching Assistant to work across Key Stage 2 job summary

Holy Trinity CE Primary Academy is a small friendly school situated in a quiet area of Handsworth. In January 2019 we joined BDMAT (Birmingham Diocesan Multi Academy Trust). We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant who will offer catch up support to small groups of children, work within a classroom environment and deliver targeted interventions.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is ideally a practising Christian and is in sympathy with the ethos of a Church school;
  • has a good understanding of pupils’ needs;
  • is able to work with individuals and small groups and children with SEN;
  • is motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable, able to work on their own initiative or as part of a team;
  • has a good grasp of spoken and written English and Mathematical skills;
  • has excellent communication skills;
  • is confident in supporting pupils with English and Maths skills.
