Post: Teaching Assistant / MSA
Pay Range: H2 - H3 depending on qualifications and experience
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday: 8.30 am - 1.30 pm (term time only).

It’s not often that Teaching Assistants are at the heart of continuing professional development within a school but that is how we roll at Two Waters Primary School! Joining our team now, you will benefit from a carefully crafted CPD programme, shoring up your already impressive skillset to enable you to deliver fantastic outcomes for our pupils.
As a flexible professional, you will work across different year groups supporting whole classes, small groups and individual pupils with additional needs, sometimes on a 1:1 basis.
We are a one-form entry community school and you will therefore get to know every child across our school, quickly becoming a member of the Two Waters family. Working with a range of teachers, you will support teaching and learning under their direction and guidance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the planning of learning activities with the class teacher (including arranging resources for lessons / activities)
- Implementing the planned learning activities / teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adapting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate
- Participating in the evaluation of learning activities with the teacher, providing feedback to on pupil progress, attainment and behaviour (whether working with individuals or groups) to assist with monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress
Supporting the teacher in behaviour management and keeping pupils on task
- Working collaboratively with other staff members / volunteers in the classroom
- Supporting pupils’ social and emotional well-being, reporting concerns to the teacher as appropriate
- Supervising individuals and groups of pupils throughout the day (including lunch hall / playground duties at breaks and lunchtimes)
Contributing to the safe environment for all members of the school
Working with individual pupils with additional needs, special educational needs or pupils for whom English is not their first language
