Trumpington Park Primary School have vacancies for Teaching Assistant staff for the new academic year - these are term-time only roles with brilliant opportunities. We have various hours/contract lengths available.

Positions available:-

  • 15 hours (Teaching Assistant) per week - fixed term contract to 31st August 2026 Actual Salary: £8,465 - £8,736
  • 25 hours (Teaching Assistant) + 5 hours (Midday Supervision) - permanent contract Actual Salary: £16,800 - £17,294
  • 27.5 hours (Teaching Assistant) + 5 hours (Midday Supervision) - fixed term contract to 31st August 2026 Actual Salary: £18,211 - £18,750

These are opportunities to make a real difference to the learning and progress of our pupils, working to provide one-to-one and group support and teaching. You will be part of a fantastic team of teaching and support staff! You will be adapting teaching resources, thinking of new ways to learn, being fun and creative in your approach and adaptable to children's needs. Our Teaching Assistants are highly valued in our school – you will work closely with our SENDCo and SEND team to provide our children with the best possible educational opportunities. An element of your duties will also include preparation of fantastic teaching resources/class displays. You will be responsible to the Headteacher.

The ideal candidate:

  • Will possess GCSE English & Mathematics Grade C (4/5) or above or equivalent
  • Experience of supporting pupils with SEND and/or behavioural needs
  • Possess outstanding communication skills and can work well in a team
  • Can be adaptable, take on board new ideas and think on their feet!
  • An understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues
