What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors of Weaver School would like to appoint a suitably qualified teaching assistant to work alongside a Year 5 class. We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who has high expectations of pupils, a willingness to work as part of a dynamic and well focused team and the ability to work flexibly with other colleagues. The post will start on April 22nd, 2025. We expect the successful candidate to motivate and inspire children, be mindful of their mental health and wellbeing deliver effective interventions and to work collaboratively alongside other colleagues.


Applicants should state their strengths and experience on the application form and a letter of application. These will be explored through the interview process.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a full DBS check as part of our commitment to the safeguarding of children. Safeguarding will be explored thorough out the recruitment procedure.
