Teaching Assistant (with SEND support)

Clifton All Saints Academy are seeking to appoint two supportive and nurturing Teaching Assistants to work with children with SEND.
We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individuals to work alongside our class teachers across all areas of the curriculum. The school has an excellent reputation for supporting children with SEND and as a result of this we have several opportunities to support SEND pupils in a range of roles in a provision and class based environment. These roles are across the school including in our pre-school.
The role requires you to:
Support pupils in a classroom, internal provision, including 1:1 support for children with SEND needs
deliver a range of structured interventions (Hamish and Milo, SNIP, SCERT)
promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being.
work under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCO and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school.
to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion.
support children with a range of SEND needs
Desirable characteristics:
experience in working with children with SEND in a 1:1 role
experience supporting children with ASD, Speech and Language, Global Delay and Cognition and Learning difficulties
experience supporting intimate care
experience supporting children with language delay and social communication difficulties
experience supporting children with social emotional and mental health difficulties
There is an element of midday lunch supervision within this role.
