We are looking for full time Teaching Assistants (25 hours per week) with lunchtime welfare (5 hours per week) on a temporary basis in the first instance.
The post will include general class based Teaching Assistant responsibilities as well as supporting children with Special Educational Needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties as part of a class team approach. The year groups for the posts have yet to be determined and will reflect the range of applications we receive, but we are anticipating one post in Key Stage One and One post in lower Key Stage Two.
Westgate is very large pupil mainstream primary school serving the community in Morecambe. The pupils are at the centre of everything we do with a committed, experienced and hard-working staff base meeting the needs of the children we are responsible for. The ideal candidates will be someone who is child-centred, compassionate and resilient.
