Technology Teacher job summary
Technology Teacher
In the early years of expansion of this new school a flexible and committed attitude is paramount, and a preparedness to either teach temporarily in other subjects to support the curriculum delivery as required, or a willingness to teach Post 16, would be an advantage. Working as a Technology Teacher at Winterstoke Hundred Academy will require you to teach throughout the technology specialism.
For the right candidate, this will be a unique and exciting opportunity to be a part of the academy opening and also its growth and development journey.
** Interviews will be held virtually on Thursday 28 May **

Winterstoke Hundred Academy (WHA) named after the historic parish of Weston-super-Mare, is due to be launched as a new 11-19 academy in September 2020, admitting pupils for the first time into Year 7 and Year 12. As a new school opening in an established multi-academy trust, it offers the successful applicant a unique opportunity to craft an exceptional learning environment for a generation of learners, re-shaping the educational landscape and positively influencing a whole community. WHA will join the 3-19 North Somerset cluster of the CLF, a family of schools which already includes the secondary schools:
Hans Price Academy (HPA),
Broadoak Academy (BA),
and the primary schools:
Haywood Village (HVA) and
Herons’ Moor Academy (HMA),
all of which already serve communities in Weston.
The opportunities for rich and fruitful collaboration between the three secondary academies are hugely compelling; it is anticipated that the three schools will work closely together to promote consistently high standards and quality of provision against a backdrop of a complementary extra-curricular offer, where pupils will have the opportunity to find and pursue their talents. The Sixth Form at WHA will be well-placed to present a curriculum offer that is a logical extension of the strengths of the three 11-16 curricula at HPA, BA and WHA.
In addition, there is an opportunity for deeply enriching cross-phase 3-19 learning of the type already successfully developed in similar CLF settings in other geographical clusters. This will particularly be the case with regard to the anticipated close relationship between WHA and HVA (0.7 miles apart).
