Technology Technician

We are seeking to appoint an Technology Technician (3D Product Design & Art) to join our teams at The Hyndburn Academy and Accrington Academy - dual site.

We have a relentless focus on working to provide the best possible support to ensure that all our students reach their full potential. We have a strong focus on high standards and aspirations, built around the simple message that teaching is the most important thing we do.

You will be a key member of the technology team, providing practical support to the teaching and learning of DT & Art. Reporting to the Head of Art and Technology, you will prepare material and resources for lessons, assist in the classroom and develop, prepare and implement whole school display materials. Please refer to the attached Candidate Information Pack for the full the job description and person specification.

Core Purpose

  • To provide practical support to the teaching and learning of Design Technology and Art
  • Prepare materials and resources for lessons
  • Assist in the classroom, supporting the teacher with their health and safety practices
  • Develop, prepare and implement whole school display materials
  • To ensure there is a safe and effective working environment in the department

We are looking for:
