About this vacancy

Required for October/November 2022, an enthusiastic and qualified Design & Technology teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and highly successful team and would suit a newly qualified or experienced teacher.

The candidate will be required to teach Design and Technology across Key Stage 3 with the possibility of some Key Stage 3 Food Technology depending on the applicant’s experience.

Silverdale School is an extremely popular and high-achieving 11-18 comprehensive in the south west of Sheffield and is now the founding school of Chorus Education Trust. The school achieved the best GCSE results in 2018 of any state school in Sheffield. At Post 16 the progress students make places Silverdale in the top 10% of schools nationally. At its heart is one of the country’s largest Teaching Schools, the Sheffield Teaching School Alliance. Silverdale moved into a brand new building in January 2009 with a full complement of facilities.
