The role

We are looking for the right people to join our team. The MFL Teacher (Fixed Term), the position would suit a highly motivated and skilled practitioner looking to join a thriving school as a middle leader. We want to hear from applicants who wish to build on our improvements, share our vision for providing an outstanding environment for learning and character development, and who, like us, value drive, integrity, scholarship, and contribution.

You will play an important role in passing on your subject knowledge through inspiring teaching to our students, ensuring that you can bring out the best in everyone.

About You

The successful candidate will have outstanding subject knowledge. You will be qualified to degree level in your main subject and will ideally already have classroom experience in a secondary school. We do, however, welcome Early Career Teachers and will provide them with a full programme of support and mentoring.

In return we are offering a highly attractive salary, along with the benefits of being part of United Learning, where there are many opportunities to share good practice and collaborate with colleagues across every phase of education.

Please note that when submitting your application, you are applying for a role at The John Roan School, not United Learning.

We are working hard to become a more diverse organisation – which is key to our commitment to bringing out the best in everyone. We welcome applications from everyone committed to this ethos and would particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates, who are currently under-represented in the Group as a whole. We always appoint on merit. We are open to discussing flexible working options.

If you feel that The John Roan School is a place where you will be able to grow and thrive and one where you feel you can make a positive contribution, then we want to hear from you. ECTs are welcome to apply.

You may feel that you would like to visit the school and / or talk to someone at the school about the role. If this is the case, please contact the Principal's PA tracey.arnold@thejohnroanschool.org.uk
