Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Therapy Sessions: Support our Occupational Therapist in conducting individual and group therapy sessions.

  • Student Assistance: Help students with exercises to improve motor, communication, and social skills, providing one-on-one or small group support.

  • Classroom Integration: Work with teachers to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities, adapt materials, and support daily living skills.

  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, organise therapy materials, schedule sessions, and communicate with professionals, parents and carers.

  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and stay updated on best practices in therapy and special education.

About this Role

Isebrook School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Therapy Assistant to join our in- school Therapy team. The Therapy Assistant will work closely with our full time Occupational Therapist to support the physical, emotional, and social development of students in line with the needs identified within their EHCP. This role involves assisting in the School Occupational Therapist in the implementation of individualised therapy plans, facilitating small group or individual interventions, advising classroom staff, conducting classroom observations and Quality Assurance audits and providing direct support to students to access their care packages.
