Ley Top Primary School is on an exciting journey and is looking to recruit a transformative SENDCo who is dedicated to transforming and improving the lives of children with additional needs and supporting their families on their journey through education. We are looking to appoint a SENDCo who can help shape the practice of our teachers to deliver high quality, adaptive teaching. Vacancy Information
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds the National Professional Qualification for SEN Coordination or NPQ for SENCos or is working towards it
- Has experience of leading SEND and evidence of delivering sustainable school improvement for children
- Is committed to raising standards and developing a culture of irresistibility for children, colleagues and families with a focus on those with additional needs
- Is able to contribute to professional leadership development and management of a staff team and contribute to the work of other teams to secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improved standards of learning and achievement for all children across the school, particularly those with SEND
- Is ambitious for all children, families and staff and is willing to go the extra mile to create ‘moments that matter’
- Has experience working with wider professionals to provide the highest levels of support for children with SEND and their families
- Is a strong role model for all members of the school community and leads by example
- Is committed to supporting children to be ready, respectful and responsible both within school and in the community
- Has a strong understanding of adaptive teaching to meet the needs of all children
- Has the energy and drive to support a rapid improvement journey whilst supporting staff wellbeing
- Is organised and agile to developing priorities
- Is approachable and dedicated to forming excellent relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Is committed to achieving the very best outcomes, progress and behaviour for all children and colleagues
- Is committed to immersing themselves in every area of school life
