Trust Attendance & Family Support Worker job summary

The role will focus on pupils whose attendance is poorest, including those who are persistently or severely absent or at risk of becoming so. You will provide targeted, relationship-based support to pupils and their families, helping to identify and reduce barriers to regular attendance.

Working under the direction of the Trust Attendance Lead and Trust Safeguarding and Inclusion Lead, you will liaise closely with school attendance, safeguarding, pastoral and inclusion teams, as well as external agencies, to ensure that support is coordinated, timely and effective. Experience of working with children, young people and families, managing complex cases and building positive relationships with families is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Central Team and contribute directly to improved attendance, engagement and educational outcomes for children and young people. We are committed to staff development and all staff receive a full induction programme.

The role will work across ALT Trust schools and will require travel between school sites and family homes, including home visits and outreach work where required.
