Trust Cleaning Manager job summary
Have an understanding and experience of managing staff in the cleaning industry.
Carry out COSHH risk assessments.
Liaise with the estates director to ensure the compliance, servicing and repairs of equipment are maintained.
Manage the inductions and training of all new staff, liaising with HR to ensure all training is completed and induction timetables are in place.
Organise and manage sickness absence, carrying out return to work interviews, providing sickness cover or supporting that academy yourself where necessary to ensure tasks are still completed to a high standard.
Organise and manage holiday cover, ensuring it is divided up fairly between cleaning staff to ensure hygiene and cleanliness remains at a high standard during the school holidays.
Ensure all facilities are always clean and safe by completing regular inspections to ensure standards set out in the cleaning specification are met.
Produce rotas and allocate tasks to cleaning staff with the assistance of the cleaning supervisors or estate managers.
Liaise with HR to organise and conduct interviews, make selection and train where necessary.
Carry out pre-event inspections where academies may be holding events or external stakeholders may be visiting sites.
Maintain supplies and inventory of cleaning products by making orders where necessary with the assistance of the cleaning supervisors or estate teams.
Manage any incidents, ensuring they are reported appropriately.
Maintain and check the cleaning checklists across sites to ensure high levels of cleanliness throughout the Trust.
Carry out performance development reviews to a high standard for all cleaning staff to support their growth, assisting and supporting cleaning supervisors with their managerial experience.
Identify any issues and take appropriate action, liaising with HR where appropriate.
