Location: Works across all Trust schools (travel required)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time - 37 hours a week
Salary: NJC Grade H (starting point depends on experience)

About the role

Creating Tomorrow Academy Trust is looking for a Trust Data & Information Manager. This is a new role and will be responsible for how data is collected, kept safe, analysed, and used across the Trust.

The role makes sure staff and leaders have accurate, reliable information to support teaching, learning, compliance, and decision‑making. You will work closely with senior leaders, Trustees, IT staff, and the Data Protection Officer.

What you will do

  • Manage data across its full life, from collection to secure deletion
  • Make sure Trust data is accurate, consistent, and reliable
  • Create reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI and Excel
  • Turn data into clear information that senior leaders and Trustees can understand
  • Make sure the Trust follows GDPR rules, including SARs, FOIs, breaches, and data retention
  • Work with the IT team on Microsoft 365, data security, access controls, and retention
  • Support the Data Protection Officer and advise staff on data protection matters
  • Help with website compliance alongside the Communications Business Partner
  • Lead and support projects that improve how data is used across the Trust

About you

You will be organised, confident working with data, and able to explain information clearly to different people. You will be comfortable balancing technical tasks with compliance and reporting work.

You should have:

  • Experience working with data, analysis, or database systems
  • Strong Excel skills and experience building Power BI dashboards
  • A good understanding of UK GDPR and data protection
  • Experience supporting or leading data‑related work or projects
  • The ability to manage your workload and meet deadlines
  • Good written and spoken communication skills

Experience in education or a multi‑academy trust, and knowledge of systems such as Arbor, would be helpful but is not required.

You must have a full UK driving licence, as the role involves travelling between schools.
