Trust Data Manager- Secondary job summary

As Trust Data Manager (Secondary) you will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight and support of data management across our secondary academies.

You will ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility, collaborating with school leaders and support staff, and the wider Trust Data team. Your insights will drive data-informed decision-making, significantly impacting the educational outcomes of our secondary pupils. This hybrid and flexible role entails direct responsibility for managing secondary school data systems and processes across the Trust, offering a unique opportunity to optimise data management within a multi-academy setting.

The role is primarily based centrally within the Trust, with regular visits to our secondary schools, as appropriate. The remaining days will be spent working centrally in Barnsley and remotely. Key Responsibilities:

Secondary School Data Management: To take ownership of and co-ordinate all data management processes specifically within the Trust’s secondary schools, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and accessibility of data.

Secondary School MIS (Arbor) Management: To manage student records, assessment data, and reporting processes within secondary schools, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with school-specific needs.

Secondary School Data Analysis & Reporting: To create and analyse student data for secondary schools, including progress and other relevant datasets, prepare detailed reports for stakeholders, and ensure strict adherence to data protection compliance.

Secondary School Student Records Management: To manage census returns, mid term admissions, and the on/off-roll process for secondary school students, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and Trust policies.

Secondary School Curriculum & Timetable Support: To assist in dataset set-up, timetabling configuration, and maintenance of teaching groups within secondary schools, ensuring efficient curriculum delivery.
